The MIT Museum has exhibit after exhibit about pioneering MIT professors and students in robotics and engineering. Most of the exhibits are interactive and require little hands to push a button, tinker and interact with science. All summer long the MIT Museum hosts drop-in activities for kids age 8 and older that include balloon rockets, LEGO Mindstorm and more. The city of Boston has made it so very easy to walk the revolutionary steps of our founding fathers. You can purchase tour tickets to the Freedom Trail and an expert will guide and educate you on all of the 16 historical sites. Or, take a self-guided tour as you follow the 2 1/2-mile red-lined/bricked route through churches, Old South Meeting House, Faneuil Hall and other American Revolution historical sites in Boston.
With LEGOLAND Discovery Center just a short drive from downtown Boston, your kids can take a class with a LEGO Master, catch a few 4D movies and see the City of Boston recreated with lights and animation.
The New England Aquarium hosts thousands of visitors each year, and with your favorite sea animals and educational sessions on conservation, everyone will have so much fun that they will forget it is all educational.
