  • Morning departure from your city
  • Arrival at the airport and transfer to the city ( or arrive by motor coach )
  • Once in DC and stretch out those legs...the best way is to walk the Mall - from the White House to get a great view of north and south side and for a great group photo
  • Then on to the Washington Monument and World War II Memorial
  • Then make your way to the National Museum of American History
  • In the afternoon visit the Lincoln, Vietnam, & Korean War Veterans Memorials
  • Dinner at Buca di Beppo (if meal plan selected)
  • Check-in to your hotel: downtown or suburbs
  • Overnight security at the hotel
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit Arlington National Cemetery - including Changing of the Guard and a wreath-laying (request must be submitted early) ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
  • Lunch at Union Station where you can choose from a variety of dining options
  • Walk on over to the next site
  • Visit the U.S. Capitol and Visitors Center for an in depth tour of the home of Congress and the House of Representatives
  • Head on over to see the largest diamond in the world at the National Museum of Natural History
  • Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe (if meal plan selected)
  • Memorials tour part II - the FDR, MLK and Jefferson Memorials
  • Overnight security at the hotel
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit Udvar-Hazy Center and explore the Boeing Aviation Hangar and the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar - see thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde, and the space shuttle Discovery
  • Lunch at the Ronald Reagan building where you can choose from a variety of dining options
  • Visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum
  • Visit the National Archives Building and marvel at the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence
  • Head on over to see the Presidential portraits at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery
  • Dinner at Dave & Buster's (if meal plan selected)
  • Head on back to the hotel
  • Overnight security at the hotel
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Check out of the hotel and bring your bags to the motor coach
  • Head on out to Mount Vernon - the estate home of George Washington
  • Lunch at the Old Country Buffet, where you can indulge in home-style southern comfort food
  • Visit Ford's Theatre, the place made famous by John Wilkes Booth and his assassination of the 16th president of the United States
  • Spend some time shopping for souvenirs
  • Head back on your motor coach for your trip back your school or airport
